Jenna and Nate met me for their engagement session at the Cleveland Museum of Art. I met Jenna over 7 years ago at my church’s Youth Group back in our high school days so of course I was ecstatic when she reached out to me wanting me to capture her special day! It was so special and fun getting to meet Nate and spend the morning laughing and talking (and freezing a little) with the two of them at the beautiful Art Museum located in the heart of Cleveland. I was so excited to see some last remnants of fall as well!

Jenna and Nate met on a church mission trip in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She said he pursued her and won her over with his charming self over texting and Facetime as they had a long distance relationship since he lives ten hours away from her in Michigan. I love to ask my couples their favorite thing about their sweetheart. When I asked, Jenna said her favorite thing about Nate is his love and passion for God and his caring heart for her. Nate’s favorite thing about Jenna is her love for people and her smile.

Nate proposed to Jenna at The Holden Arboretum in the Butterfly Garden which is Jenna’s favorite garden. No one was around, which Nathan thought was the perfect time to propose. Jenna wanted a picture of them for memories so they set up a camera and started a video and posed for a picture, then for another picture. She was trying to figure out what to do for the next pose but then she looked over to see Nate on his knee. He proposed to Jenna and she of course said YES! The sweetest part is they had the whole thing on video since the phone was still videoing! So sweet!

Congratulations on your engagement Jenna and Nate! I am so incredibly happy for you and excited to celebrate with you on your wedding day next May!

And we finished the session with a few photos in their matching star wars shirts! Nate said his whole family loves star wars so Jenna has watched them all with him now, so cute!
