When Linda first reached out to me about photographing her and Jeremy’s Outer Banks engagement I knew it was going to be incredible. She told me right up front they were a fun and playful couple wanting to book a playful sunset engagement session on the beach. I instantly was like sign me up, I’m your girl! I’m always down to have a fun time with a joyful couple and when you throw sunset on the beach in there I’m living the dream! It was so funny, as we were talking about her session we found out we are both from Columbus, Ohio too. What a small world! I have been so looking forward to their session and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Oh my goodness did we have the best time!

From the very second I met Linda and Jeremy for their session we just clicked. They were seriously so much fun to be around laughing and joking the whole time. I loved their silliness and playfulness and adored spending the evening with them!

We started out at Avalon Pier. It was a gorgeous day with beautiful cotton candy skies and gentle waves. As we finished at Avalon Pier and were going to head to Jockey’s Ridge for their sand dune portion we noticed a big storm coming. The sky was really dark one way and beautiful and bright the other. Chasing the light we headed to Jockey’s Ridge and got some magical photos. Then the stormy skies overtook. We got some cool pictures with the moody dark blue clouds and then as the winds picked up and it got darker we made a bee line for the cars. Literally the instant we said our goodbyes and got in out cars the skies opened up and it absolutely down poured. Talk about perfect timing!

Linda and Jeremy met on the Ohio State University Campus. Jeremy was the new guy and Linda pulled up in their shared driveway and saw him grilling out back. She said “HI YOU’RE THE NEW GUY AREN’T YA?!” From then she started to like him and often played country on her Bluetooth speaker on the porch they shared. That was her secret way of letting him know she was outside, then he’d come join! Aw how adorable is that?!

Linda and Jeremy had their first date at Tai’s Asian Bistro in Columbus. This was when Jeremy was first introduced to dumplings. And Linda says he loves her now because she introduced him to dumplings. Haha but in all seriousness, these two have the sweetest relationship full of playfulness and joy. It is so clear that they are absolutely perfect for each other and meant to be!

Jeremy proposed to Linda by having her open a Christmas presents at his parents’ house, surrounded by all his family. Earlier that week they had gotten onesies from Target (he was Ted, she was a llama) to surprise the family for present time. At the end he “forgot” about their dogs’ present. Pulled out 2 doggy treats, and then last but not least A TINY SUSPICIOUS WRAPPED BOX. She of course said YES!

Congratulations Linda and Jeremy! I hope you enjoy these highlights from your session!
