Hi there! Welcome to my blog, a journal about my life, travels, and the memories I capture. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm amanda.

I got to have my first downtown Cincinnati engagement session with Sydney and Scott and it was absolutely magical! We met up at the Stretch which was the location they very first met. We had to take the opportunity to take a few phots at the spot that marked the very beginning of their love story. After that we walked over to Smale Riverfront Park from some stunning skyline views of Cincinnati!

It was so special to do Sydney and Scott’s session in their home city, Cincinnati. Where they met, fell in love, and have created a home and life together! We had a stunning sun soaked evening to explore the park they come to often together. The second I saw the John A Roebling Suspension Bridge I was obsessed. The powder blue bridge with glowing sun behind photographed so beautifully and then add in the gorgeous Cincinnati skyline, it was magic.

Sydney and Scott’s proposal story is literally so sweet and perfect, I’m going to share it through Sydney’s words:

“Scott had planned a fun and exciting surprise trip for Sydney and had planned on proposing there. The only problem was the government forced everyone into quarantine so Scott had to sadly cancel the plans about two weeks prior. Scott was on the fence about waiting to reschedule the trip but decided he didn’t want to wait any longer.

Instead of letting the coronavirus ruin everything he decided March 27th was still a great date to propose. The weather for that day didn’t look great so he was on the fence. Scott decided to work from home and as he watched the weather forecast he decided it would be nice enough outside to do it. At about 2pm he put the plan in motion by first calling Sydney’s dad Cliff and asking him to marry her. Cliff was ecstatic!

Next Scott called his dad and arranged for him to pick up some champagne (The Veuve) and order a big Goodfellas pizza with “Marry Me” spelled out in pepperoni. They even coordinated with Scott’s sister, Rachel, to take some sneaky pictures! Scott’s parents set up a nice table at Smale Park overlooking the Roebling Bridge.

The hard part for Scott was trying to get Sydney to leave the apartment during quarantine. He decided to tell her its date night and we gotta order some tacos from Condados (she couldnt say no to tacos!) He said they had to pick them up at 6:30 so they decided to have a glass of rosè on the roof. On the walk to Condados they had a few minutes to burn and thought it would be romantic to walk by Sydney’s old apartment and then through Smale Park.

They sat on the swings that looked over the river and started walking again but this time they had to walk by the tables and one looked a little more special. As they walked up to it they found a Goodfellas box that when Scott opened it it said Marry Me! And thats when Scott got down on one knee and asked Sydney to spend the rest of their lives together loving each other. Sydney said Yes!!”

Congratulations Sydney and Scott! I am truly so happy for you both and absolutely can’t wait to celebrate with you on your big day next June!
