Hi there! Welcome to my blog, a journal about my life, travels, and the memories I capture. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm amanda.

I got to mix things up and do a freshly married session with Molly and Jeff a few weeks ago. They literally met me within the hour of eloping! We changed up our original plans when the hurricane weather brought us a crazy downpour that day. And instead met at the Big Greenhouse in Greensboro, NC. Honestly I think it was the perfect setting for their session, we ended up having the whole greenhouse to ourselves! Molly and Jeff were so sweet and boy don’t they look like they straight up stepped out of a fashion magazine!? Dang they looked so sharp. I still can’t get over how flawless Molly looked in her gorgeous dress and classy updo!

Molly and Jeff first met at the gym. I’ll share their story in Molly’s own words because it’s seriously the cutest! “We had eyes for each other for months but both of us were too shy to make the first move. He went up and talked to a mutual friend, hoping that I would notice and ask that friend about their conversation. He was right! I didn’t walk, I RAN up to the friend, asked him to recall every word that was said, and from there I found out his first name! Thank the Lord for technology and my excellent ‘stalking’ skills, I was able to find him online with only knowing his first name, and the kind of truck he drove (seriously, the FBI should hire me).”

After a few weeks of back and forth flirty banter on Instagram, Molly asked for Jeff’s number. And then invited him to come to her birthday weekend at the beach. They were both so nervous as this was their first outside of the gym encounter. Jeff drove down to Wilmington, met her friends, and ended up staying the whole weekend. The rest is history and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Two weeks into dating, Jeff confessed he was falling for Molly and shortly after that he finally said ‘I love you’. Molly followed months later in confessing her feelings!

In typical 2020 fashion, covid threw a wrench in Jeff’s original proposal plans. Covid unfortunately ruined their plans for a two week Europe adventure back in March. Jeff had hired a photographer in Paris where he was going to propose. As well as had planned for both of their families to join them to celebrate the engagement.

While bummed about the change of plans, they made lemonade out of lemons. They planned a new adventure end of June out west to a few states for hiking. And then finished their trip out in Napa, California. Jeff proposed at a French Château winery under a magnolia tree(swoon). Molly says he gave the cutest speech and opened the ring box upside down. After she said ‘YES!”, champagne flowed, happy tears were streaming. And they soaked in every moment of what turned out to be the perfect day! Oh my goodness, isn’t that the sweetest proposal story ever??

Congratulations Molly and Jeff, I am so incredibly happy for you! I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate with you at your beautiful McAlister-Leftwich House wedding in January. Enjoy these favorites from your session!
