I met Kelsie and Cory for their engagement session at Scioto Mile and Scioto Audubon Metro Park this past week. Kelsie is a sweet friend and fellow photographer and I have been excitedly awaiting their session. We planned for a colorful fall session and Ohio delivered! We were worried at first that we would get rained out. But thankfully the forecast cleared and we were blessed with a beautiful fall evening bursting with color!
These two are kind souls who’s love for Jesus and each other shines bright! We truly had so much fun exploring down town Columbus, laughing the evening away. I have sooo many favorites from their session and I can’t wait to share these with you!
Kelsie and Cory’s proposal story is so unique yet so special! Kelsie had planned a photo swap with her friend Stephanie to get some winter photos. But little did she know was that Cory was planning his proposal to her with Stephanie. They met at Hoover Dam and Cory & Kelsie went first for the photo swap. They started with the sneak attack pose (the pose where the guy sneaks up behind his girl for a big tickle hug.) He tapped her from behind and when she turned around he was on one knee and asked her to marry him. Kelsie of course said, YES!
Afterwards, they popped some champagne. Then Cory said that one of the first things that he wanted to do for Kelsie as her fiance was to wash her feet as a reminder that he will always love her fiercely & serve her humbly. Swoon, isn’t that just the sweetest?? Afterwards he had all of their families at Kelsie’s house for a surprise party. It was the absolute perfect day! Kelsie actually blogged the full proposal story here if you want to check it out!
Congratulations Kelsie and Cory! I am so happy for you both and honored to be chosen to document this incredibly special season of your lives. I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate with you next May!
