I had so much fun meeting Meredith and Ben for their engagement session this past week. We met first at Barrel House Brewery which is close to their home. It’s a place filled with lots of memories for them. I love making engagement sessions reflect the couple and their relationships so this was a perfect place to start!
We sat and chatted for a while as they sipped on beers. It was a relaxed evening and Barrel House was so accommodating letting us even go down to the barrel room for pictures! After we were done at the Barrel House we went ahead and headed over to Smale Park. We caught the beautiful sunset glow as we grabbed some pictures with their fur baby Rodgers. Then finished out the evening walking along the iconic powder blue bridge at sunset. Altogether it was the absolute perfect evening together!
Meredith and Ben met through mutual friends. Ben’s former roommate was dating Meredith’s friend. It just so happened that they planned to meet up with each other, with Meredith and Ben in tow. Although their relationship didn’t last, Meredith and Ben did! They got to know each other on that first time while bar hopping around Cincinnati. And the rest is history!
Ben proposed on the front porch, just the two of them! It was a random weekday. He had picked the ring up that day and was planning on waiting until the weekend, but it burned a hole in his pocket. After they went out to dinner, Ben asked Meredith to have a drink on the porch. He then said “Do you like drinking beer on the front porch with me? Do you want to do it forever?” Meredith was shocked, but said yes! Ben even captured the whole thing on his phone! It was the sweetest moment and perfect for them!
Congratulations Meredith and Ben! I am so happy for you both and can’t wait to celebrate with you at your The Phoenix wedding next November!
