I met Abbie and Ben last week for their engagement session at Rising Park in Lancaster. I had been excitedly looking forward to this session since Abbie is actually a friend of mine! There is always something so special about getting to capture memories for friends! And their session certainly didn’t disappoint! It was a cold and windy one but so full of joy and laughter.
Abbie has the most contagious of smiles and Ben looks at Abbie with adoration. They have the sweetest dynamic and I could not be more happy for them! Abbie and Ben chose Rising Park as the location since it’s a special spot they have gone to often as a couple. I also loved how they incorporated their love of coffee and their favorite color, black, into their session. I always think it makes it so much more special when couples incorporate things unique to their relationship into their sessions!
Abbie and Ben have known each other for most of their lives! They grew up in the same church and were both very involved with the Church doing music. Ben plays drums and Abbie sings and plays violin. They mostly began talking through being involved in music and attending young adult bible study.
Ben popped the question on a quiet night at Ben’s house on Black Friday, just the two of them. Black Friday was fitting since black is Abbie’s favorite color. Abbie of course said yes! It was the perfect moment for just the two of them!
Congratulations Abbie and Ben! I am so happy and excited for you and can’t wait to celebrate with you in October!
