I got to spend the evening with Amber and Sammy at Scioto Mile in downtown Columbus last week for their engagement session. It was the perfect summer evening with lots of sunshine and we even had a light breeze! I adored getting to spend the evening with these two. Sammy and Amber are the sweetest of couples and I could of hung out with them all day! We truly had the best time talking and laughing the whole evening as we explored Scioto Mile together.

Amber and Sammy met at the hospital where they both work as nurses. Amber caught Sammy’s eye while performing CPR in a real-life emergency event. How neat is that? From then on, Sammy was hooked and in tireless pursuit. A mutual friend eventually coordinated a night out where they were formally introduced.

At first, Amber turned Sammy down multiple times for coffee. But Amber eventually agreed to grab a drink with Sammy at High Bank Distillery. Both of them were too shy to order an actual meal, under the impression that it was a drink date. They left with empty stomachs but full hearts and the rest is history!

Sammy proposed in Breckenridge, Colorado after a weekend ski trip with his family. Talk about a breathtaking proposal setting! They went to brunch and then Sammy’s cousin told them about this awesome place where they could take a group photo. Everyone was taking pictures on a bridge and when it was their turn to take a picture together, Sammy dropped to his knee and proposed! The big group of family members they were with even caught the entire thing on video as well as captured so many pictures! It was snowing outside and looked like an actual winter wonderland. Talk about an unforgettable moment!!

Congratulations Amber and Sammy! I am so excited for you and absolutely can’t WAIT to celebrate with you and capture your big day at Wedgewood next May!
