I met Lisa and Nick for their romantic first day of summer engagement session at the Whetstone Park of Roses in Columbus. It was the most beautiful evening full of sunshine, beautiful blooming roses, and these two adorable lovebirds!
Lisa and Nick have the sweetest of loves. They are so clearly meant to be together, it was so adorable witnessing Nick’s loving gaze at Lisa and her sweet smiles back. I truly cannot wait for their stunning Brookshire wedding in August!
Nick and Lisa met in high school and have been together a total of 14 years now! Nick proposed the most lovely way. On July 7th he suggested they go to Franklin Park conservatory to meet up with his cousin before their dinner plans at their favorite restaurant. They’d never been there before so Lisa thought it would be fun. It was super hot that day, so they walked around inside for a bit.
The park was having a topiary exhibit so Nick suggested they go outside to see the flamingos. His cousin that they met up with is an amateur photographer so she was taking some photos. Then he suggested they take a picture together and Lisa noticed he was shaking! That’s when she knew something was up. He turned to her and she finally realized what was going on and tried to compose herself. But she ended up crying and blacking out (metaphorically) and only heard the “will you marry me part”.
It was truly magical. That wasn’t even the best part, though. He had arranged for her parents and brother, along with his family, to be waiting out front for them. After the proposal they all came with their well wishes and it was so so much more than she could have ever asked for. Isn’t that just the sweetest proposal story?!
Congratulations Lisa and Nick! I absolutely can’t wait to capture your wedding day later this summer!
