Scioto Mile Engagement session Amanda Eloise Photography North Carolina Photographer

Alyssa and Sam had their engagement session at Short North and Scioto Mile this past Sunday! We had so much fun walking through Goodale Park, exploring Short North, and then enjoying the beautiful city views at Scioto Mile together!

If I had to pick one word to describe Alyssa and Sam, it would be joyful. These two were so adorable laughing and giggling and joking all night. There is no doubt in my mind that they are so perfect for each other. Also can we talk about their outfit combinations for a second?! Absolute perfection, I loved them all especially their last one! You all know me, pink and white will forever be my favorite combination and they totally rocked it!

I sincerely cannot wait to celebrate with them on their big day this fall at the Golf Club at Little Turtle, I just know it is going to be so beautiful and joyful!

Alyssa and Sam met their freshman year of college on a spring break trip with Cru (a Christian organization on campus). They didn’t start dating until their sophomore year but stayed really good friends for that in between time! Basically the rest is kind of just history with them dating for a little over two years. As they approached graduation this past May, they realized that neither of them wanted to do that without the other person so they put a ring on it!

Sam proposed by recreating their first date (how cute is that?!) They went to Marcellas and sat at the same table as their first date. Then they went down to the Scioto Mile which they had also done on their first date. Then in front of the beautiful Columbus skyline, Sam got down on one knee and asked Alyssa to be his wife. She of course said YES! One of the sweetest parts was that Sam had arranged for their parents and Alyssa’s best friends to be there. And then he had also set up a party with all of their friends and the rest of her family (which all came from out of state) and they got to celebrate with everyone there!

Congratulations Alyssa and Sam! I loved spending the evening with you for your engagement session and can’t wait to celebrate with you for your big day!
