Goodale Park and Short North Engagement Session in Columbus Ohio Amanda Eloise Photography North Carolina Wedding Photographer

I spent the evening with Chelsea and Connor at Goodale Park and Short North for their engagement session last week! It was such a fun summer evening full of laughs, sunshine, and even some ice cream! Chelsea and Chelsea are truly the sweetest couple and I adored getting to spend the evening together!

Connor and Chelsea have known each other since middle school. They went to the same church growing up and he played on her cousin’s AAU basketball team. They were acquaintances for a long time, but never anything more than that. Almost 2 years ago, Connor and Chelsea reconnected through a mutual friend. Both of them knew very early on that the search was over. Connor even says he knew she was the one he would marry after their second date (swoon!)
Chelsea and Connor truly believe that God lead us to one another and His timing was perfect. They reconnected right as our faith and relationships with Christ were at their strongest. Chelsea said that they of course would have loved to begin their lives together sooner, but they believe God was preparing them for one another. She said “Connor is the sweetest and most caring person I know and he would do anything in the world for me. I’m so very blessed to have him as my future husband.” Ahh how adorable are they?!
Connor and Chelsea are both very family-oriented people. Keeping this in mind, Connor proposed to her in his parents’ backyard where he had lights in the trees and lanterns lining a walkway out to a rose covered blanket in their yard. Of course, the set up alone was amazing and so romantic. Especially because his parents’ backyard overlooks beautiful hills (they live very much so in the country). But to make the proposal even better, once Chelsea said yes, Connor pointed to a window inside his house there was Chelsea’s family and his family watching the whole proposal. It made the moment that much sweeter for Chelsea to have her mom and all of her other family members there with her to share in this huge moment! Isn’t that just the sweetest and most thoughtful proposal story??
Congratulations Connor and Chelsea, I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate with you two at your Stillwater wedding in September!
