I had the honor of meeting Rachael and Ben for their engagement session at the Ohio Statehouse this past week. And let me tell you, I adored every second of our evening together! These two are the sweetest people and they radiate joy and kindness. I have been so looking forward to this session especially because Rachael is a sweet friend of mine I’ve known since I was young!
I knew their session was going to be gold already but when they showed up looking straight out of a magazine I about fell over. Like can we talk about Rachael’s dress for a second?? Their outfits paired so beautifully with the location they chose as well. An absolutely gorgeous couple inside and out!
The day of their session was a bit humid but these two were troopers and we had the best time spending the evening together anyways!
Rachael and Ben met at the Old Oak Tavern for their first date. They actually were supposed to meet on the previous Saturday night. But Rachael ended up cancelling on Ben after a long day of work and they met Sunday instead. They met there for dinner and then went to the Ohio Theatre to see the Nutcracker; which is why we of course had to incorporate it for a few photos!
Ben Proposed to Rachael on New Year’s Eve of 2019. They were actually attending a wedding. And they had gone outside to take a break from dancing. It was just the 2 of them just before midnight. Ben said he didn’t want to go into 2020 without Rachael being his finance. And for this first hour of 2020, they were engaged and the only ones who knew. Like oh my goodness how sweet and romantic is that?!
Rachael and Ben are so perfect for each other in every way. And it was truly my honor to document this special season of life for them! Enjoy my favorites from their session below!
