I adored getting to meet Micah and Matouš for their engagement session at Inniswood Metro Garden! These two absolutely radiate joy and kindness for each other and whoever they come in contact with. Tim got to come along with me for this session. And the four of us truly had the best time exploring Inniswood together! Instantly upon meeting them it was like meeting old friends and it has me just that much more excited for their special day next July! It’s so clear Micah and Matouš are each others whole world and it was so adorable to witness how sweet they are to one another.

Micah and Matouš met at a mixer event at Tabletop Board Game Cafe in Cleveland playing a party game called Chameleon. Matouš says Micah was the most beautiful girl there, super smart, and good at games too! And that he was interested in her from the beginning. They went out for drinks afterwards with a small group and hit it off! They texted back and forth for a couple weeks, but then it kind of fizzled out. Matouš was slow to pick up Micah’s “interested” signals, and let 9 months pass before reconnecting.

After reconnecting at yet another mixer event (this time at the Art Museum in Cleveland), they went for a bike ride together and then out to dinner. Sparks flew, the chemistry was undeniable. And Micah and Matouš went on their first official date shortly thereafter. They are both outdoorsy, and went geocaching around Akron while discussing life and getting to know one another for their first date. And they’ve, in their words, “been having a blast adventuring together ever since.” How adorable is that?!

If you can believe it, their engagement story is even sweeter than their “how we met” story! Micah was finishing up her residency program at a hospital in Akron. So Matouš asked if she wanted to take some pictures to commemorate the end of that season of her life. Little did she know that the real reason he had arranged to take pictures in a park on June 27th was to propose! He took her to a park to meet up with their friend Ana to take pictures. But instead led Micah out to this bench decorated with pink balloons and flowers and serenaded her on his guitar with a song he wrote! She of course said YES!

Congratulations Micah and Matouš, I am so incredibly happy for you both. It is truly an honor to be chosen to capture this incredibly special season of life for you! I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate with you at your Magnolia Hill Farm wedding next July!
