I have excitedly been awaiting Cheyenne and DJ’s second wedding celebration at Summerfield Farms! These two took the curve balls thrown by covid-19 with such grace and positivity. We had a beautiful intimate celebration back in June on their original date and then had the big celebration at the end of September. And boy was it a beautiful celebration!

Hurricane weather swept in the week of Cheyenne and DJ’s wedding. The whole day before was a turrential downpour and the day of called for rain all day too. I came prepared with my whole set of clear umbrellas fully prepared for a rainy day. But then literally the day of the wedding the forecast cleared! The skies cleared and we had the most stunning day! Not only was there no rain but the sun was shining and we truly could not have asked for a more beautiful day!

When I first arrived and was chatting with Cheyenne she told me she had been praying so hard for sunshine. And her prayers worked! It was so beautiful to see her give God the glory. Jesus was absolutely present on their day and it was my honor to witness how bright Cheyenne and DJ shine for Him. They both radiate joy and kindness and their love for others and each other is heartwarming. They are so sweet to each other and clearly soulmates!

My favorite part of Cheyenne and DJ’s wedding day was probably their first touch. It was truly the sweetest little moment and DJ had the sweetest reaction. As he reached his hand around the corner to grab Cheyenne’s hand, he was instantly in tears. It was such a raw and emotional moment shared between the two of them. My favorite picture of the day is probably the image of DJ overcome with emotion holding his brides hand around the corner of the barn.

Congratulations Cheyenne and DJ! I am so thankful to have been chosen to capture these special memories for you! I wish you both endless years of happiness and joy together!
