Hi, I'm amanda.

I was so excited to officially meet Laura and Connor for their fall engagement session. After rescheduling because of rain we met for a brisk sunrise session. It was quite chilly when we first met but these two snuggled up to keep warm. And before we knew it the sun was out in full force and we had the most stunning fall day!

We started out walking around the pretty cobblestone streets of German Village before ending up exploring their favorite spots at OSU. Laura and Connor are such genuine and kind people and it was truly a joy to spend the morning with them. They are so clearly perfect for each other and it was an honor to the see the joy they radiate being together!

Laura and Connor’s first date was at Condado’s in Short North. They met for lunch one day and talked for hours. Connor ordered 2 tacos and only ate 1/2 of one. After a few hours Laura was already late for a group project, so they had to cut it short and decided to go bowling later that week. The rest is history!

The day they got engaged, Connor took Laura to Goodale Park in Columbus, OH. This is where they had one of their first dates. It’s also the place that Laura realized she wanted to spend her life with Connor. Connor set up a whole fake fraternity alumni photoshoot so that he could get her there to take pictures. Laura had a nice camera so he used this excuse to have her get dressed up!

After Laura had taken a lot of pictures of the guys and the guys & their girlfriends, Connor asked her to take a picture with him. They went in front of the lake to take a picture. Then in the middle of taking pictures, Connor looked at Laura and said “I want to spend the rest of my life with you”. At first she thought he was just being cute. She thought in her head “we’re taking a picture now, you can just tell me that later!” Then pulled him back to her, but he took a step back and got down on one knee and asked Laura to marry him. Laura said, “YES!” Laura says he was shaking because he was so nervous! But all his friends cheered and they got the whole moment captured by his friends there. Isn’t that the sweetest proposal story?

Congratulations Connor and Laura! I am so happy for you both and can’t wait to celebrate with you next June. In the meantime, enjoy these favorites from your session!
